Daniel Adamany | President

Dan Adamany As president of Ahead, Daniel Adamany is responsible for company strategy and overall vision of the organization. Daniel is hands-on, engaging directly with clients and partners, ensuring the organization continues to meet and exceed expectations. Prior to Ahead, Daniel played a pivotal role in EMC’s rise to prominence, winning several national awards for leadership and performance.

Daniel has a robust background in sales strategy and an unparalleled understanding of finance. He plays a critical role in structuring deals and assisting clients with procuring vital solutions in today’s difficult economy. Daniel is also involved in several entrepreneurial ventures within various industries, including real estate, hospitality, and entertainment, where he lends his experience and vision to drive success.

Daniel has a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Aaron Nack | Chief Operations Officer

Aaron Nack is chief operating officer of Ahead, where he directs operations, finance, service delivery, marketing, and organization strategy. In this role Aaron oversees every aspect of the business cycle, ensuring proper diligence is conducted in delivering consistent, sustainable growth.

Prior to Ahead, Aaron was president of Fulcrum Consulting Group, which he founded in 2001. Fulcrum developed cutting-edge network software applications and delivered a variety of network and advanced data center service solutions through partnerships with SBC and EMC. In 2007, Aaron combined the service proficiency of Fulcrum with Daniel Adamany’s sales expertise to create Ahead.

Aaron is heavily involved with not-for-profit work through GASP (Games Adolescence Shouldn’t Play), an international organization he founded in 2005. He serves on the board of directors for several niche organizations, including Organic Lifestyles and Pipedreams Productions. Aaron has a degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Tim Frank | Vice President of Sales

Tim Frank joined Ahead in 2008 to manage the sales organization. Tim is responsible for revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and sales strategy for Ahead, drawing on over 14 years of sales experience, including seven-plus years with EMC.

Tim has received several national awards for leadership and achievement as a top performer year after year. He has led sales and engineering teams covering seven states with total revenue responsibility of over $130M. Tim’s proven track record and vision are key assets to Ahead and invaluable to Ahead’s growth as a premier technology company.

Tim has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MBA in finance and entrepreneurship from DePaul University. He is also a guest lecturer for sales management in the MBA program at DePaul.

Eric Kaplan | Vice President of Engineering

Eric Kaplan manages Ahead’s technical consulting organization. Eric and his team evaluate client’s business and technical requirements and architect solutions that meet the client’s tactical and strategic goals.

Prior to Ahead, Eric spent nine years at EMC, most recently working in the Office of the CTO for the midrange storage division. In this position he was focused on the company’s integration and relationship with VMware. Eric also held positions in Product Management, Marketing, and Sales. Before that, he worked at InstallShield Software in the Emerging Technology and Business Development group, which was responsible for building and maintaining the company’s strategic relationship with Microsoft and other partners.

Eric is connected to current and future trends, a strategist who comprehends complex technology problems and uses his organization and leadership skills to solve them. This expertise is integral to Ahead’s ability to lead its clients to the pervasive cloud. Eric has a bachelor of science in information systems from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business.

Rob Koury | Vice President of Consulting

Rob Koury is Ahead’s vice president of consulting , responsible for developing and delivering strategic consulting solutions tailored to fit clients’ unique business and technology challenges. Rob has been in the consulting business for the past 18 years.

Prior to joining Ahead, Rob worked to develop several startup organizations in the technology arena, including RapidApp—a technology consulting organization focused on designing, planning, and deploying enterprise virtual infrastructure technology. RapidApp was sold to GlassHouse Technology, a vendor-independent infrastructure consulting firm, where Rob held various roles, including vice president of North American sales.

Rob has a bachelor degree from the University of Iowa in psychology and business administration.

Mitch Northcutt | Vice President of Consulting

As vice president of consulting, Mitch Northcutt brings over 25 years of diverse business and information technology experience to Ahead. He is an expert in the design, implementation, and management of multiplatform systems whose experience spans all major computing platforms and technologies. Mitch is charged with leading delivery teams in design and deployment planning efforts for large-scale virtual infrastructure projects and is responsible for Ahead’s THINK | LOOK | PLAN | MOVE methodology that enables clients to realize transformation and optimization initiatives. Mitch has aided in the design, planning, and deployment of many of the largest virtual server and desktop environments nationally.

Prior to joining Ahead, Mitch was the managing partner at Ouray Technology Partners, an IT as a Service consulting firm he co-founded with Rob Koury. In 2007, he became the vice president of strategy and service development at GlassHouse Technologies when it bought RapidApp, a consulting organization Mitch also built with Rob Koury. RapidApp was widely recognized as a pioneer in the virtual infrastructure space.

Tom Maheras | Finance Director

Tom joined Ahead in 2010 with 20 years of experience in finance / operations. As finance director, Tom oversees Ahead’s financial selling, contract, and credit efforts. He also develops and maintains relationships with lessors and OEMs.

Prior to Ahead, Tom worked for EMC, where he managed its financial services practice for the Midwest. He also worked as a portfolio manager for Comdisco.

Tom received a BBA from Butler University and an MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
